Fast Food Simulator – Open Access Review

5/10

Fast Food Simulator is the debut title developed and published by No Ceiling Games. Currently in open access, the game gives players the opportunity to dive into the fast-paced world of running a fast food restaurant. Players actively cook hamburgers, make French fries, prepare chicken patties, and serve beverages. Orders are built around simple ingredients like onion, tomato, ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. However, the game’s design needs improvement.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD

A major focus of Fast Food Simulator is the assembly of burgers and other foods, offering players a reasonable level of complexity. However, the game struggles with employee dynamics. Cooks and cashiers, crucial roles in any fast food restaurant, are completely absent. Without staff, players are forced to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. While this adds a challenge, it can quickly become overwhelming, especially when managing complex orders.

The Multiplayer

The multiplayer aspect is where the game shines, compensating for the lack of employees. Collaborating with other players to fulfill orders makes the gameplay more manageable. However, the single-player mode suffers significantly due to the absence of automation or support from staff roles. Handling the flow of orders solo is a daunting task that can discourage individual play.

Overall

Although working with friends provides a fun and engaging experience, the absence of a comprehensive staffing system leaves the game feeling incomplete. Without roles like cooks or cashiers, the gameplay lacks potential depth. Players seeking a fully immersive fast food restaurant experience may find the current version unsatisfactory.

Fast Food Simulator shows promise, but its open access version feels unfinished. Cooking and assembling food is engaging, but the over-reliance on multiplayer and the absence of employees hinder its long-term appeal. Future updates should prioritize adding staff roles and improving the single-player mode. Until then, the game is best enjoyed with a group of friends online.
