First Appearance: Monster Hunter: World (Base Game)
Habitats: Ancient Forest
Threat Level: ⭐ (Very Low)
Description: The Great Jagras is often the first large monster new hunters face. This lizard-like Bird Wyvern is known for swallowing prey whole, causing its belly to swell dramatically. It commands packs of smaller Jagras, which can overwhelm unprepared hunters. Despite being weak, it helps teach the fundamentals of hunting and breaking monster parts.

Tips for Hunting
When its belly is swollen after eating, it moves slower and becomes an easy target.
Aim for its head and belly for part breaks and bonus rewards.
Beginners should use traps to immobilize it and avoid being swarmed by small Jagras.
Fire weapons are most effective.
